Your answer should start with the realization, the majority of the people disapprove Mr. Bush's job performance. 58%-62% disagree with Mr. Bush's policies. In a CBS special report (Mar. 25) 61% say Mr. Bush does not share their priorities.
The Gallop Poll also reports (April 12) the political environment favors the Democratic Party by a 50% to 35% margin, Americans want to see Democrats win in 2008 and they also report a disproportionate leaning towards the Democratic Party among Independents.
This and other factors indicate to me, another Democratic Sweep in 2008. Mr. Bush's failings, his mistakes, misconceptions and misreckonings will lead to the eventual ruin of the GOP.
I'm reminded of a old Sicilian proverb: Pee on the ruins before they build a temple over them.
