I am elated to have Senator Clinton respond to Imus' comments about Rutgers Basketball team. As a former student of Douglas College, I can't think of any woman more qualified than Senator Clinton to encourage our girls. I can't even imagine that this degree of racial disrespect would be verbalized in public at innocent kids for no apparent reason at all. There are enough issues to discuss within our society via communications media devices, than wasting precious time hurting our African American babies. I pray that God will heal these babies from the hurt, shame, and silent laughters of people who supported this very insensitive individual. I only wish that I could be there to hear Senator Clinton today, and also personally encourage these students to continue to excel and never embrace the negativity. Enjoy your lives and I wish you all the best that life has to offer.
