Look, we go to a Broadway musical to feel the high points. This show has them. It's no longer the 1950's, and the art that gave us My Fair Lady, the King and I, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, etc. has given way to a crunchier technology and a "waiting for the big event" audience. Sure I'd rather watch the Celtics of the 50's with Russell, Cousy, Sharman, Heinsohn, and Havlicek. But they're not here today and they'll never be replicated.
For what it's worth to the reviewer, this is the new generation on Broadway. Tech not art; new talent, not 50 year old retreads. I was in the first row balcony and caught Mary's wink. Find that in another show!
