I am afraid that addressing mass murders as a gun control problem is counter to reality and logic. Guns are and always will be present in this world, especially to someone without conscience or morality who cares not about law. Passing of laws that prevented ANYONE from being armed and able to stop the gunman just made his evil task easy. It is shameful to pass laws that only the lawful will follow. Self protection capability of the innocent should be the first priority.
