Well put John. The templates you speak of are used every day. The recent evil horror that has just happend at Virginia Tech was plugged into the "Gun Control", "Priveleged vs Poorer", "America is the root of the World's Evil's" and "White people vs. other" templates. Instead of letting the people grieve and work through this act of evil committed against them, ideas of how the staff, faculty, students and community somehow made mistakes that could have prevented this were printe. The facts were never important to these journalists (and they were horribly misstated: "the gunmen is Asian..of Chinese Background"...."The gunman is not a student", etc.). What's important to them is their agenda. The idea that a miscriant planned an evil act on defenseless people will be discarded in favor of "what did the university, society at large do to make this man hate them so much?"....stay tuned for garbage and idiocy along these lines to pollute the papers and mainstream media.
