The dissenting opinion stating: "the notion that the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act furthers any legitimate governmental interest is, quite simply, irrational" is a surreal statement from four of our justices! As if the protection of life, the very first duty of government cited in our Declaration of Independance, isn't a government interest! From our most learned judges no less. But that's the blindness necessary to support abortion. This decision is a glimmer of hope for those of us who believe that life begins at conception and our most vulnerable citizens are denied their most basic right-to life-simply because they're "inconvenient."
