This is probably the best article/news commentary that I have seen yet on this tragedy. The collective media's effort to find a "person" other than Cho to blame for this tragedy has missed the boat. This was a tragedy a long time in the making due to a "wall" that was put up by our legal system in an effort to protect "individual liberties." While I agree that we must be careful with zero tolerance, Ms. Hymowitz eloquently lays out what happens when individuals continue to fall through the cracks of our legal system, which is not designed to protect the innocent but rather to grant as many chances and breaks as possible to the most wreckless, the most disturbed and the most violent people in our society.

Much like our health care system, our system of justice has become one where we wait until a situation becomes acute before we take action. What's that old saying, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?"
