Your comments about the "khaki-colored military-style vest" the shooter was wearing, shows your lack of knowledge of sports gear and the way you report firearm involved stories. If you would look closely you would see that what Cho was wearing is a "khaki-colored flyfishing vest". There is nothing "military-style" about it, unless your are going out to do battle with your flyrod, assorted flies, pliers and clippers.

I am a veteran law enforcement officer with over 33 years of service. I have never feared the law abiding citizen with a concealed firearm and have always believed an armed society is a polite society, because it sends the message to the criminals, there may be harsh penalties exacted for their actions when they try to perpetrate them against someone who can and does defend themselves. They tend to be less inclined if there is a possibility that their prey is capable of ending any and all future criminal endeavors to which they might aspire to commit.
