Ms. Johnson, Partial Birth Abortion is not the partial birth of a viable human baby that ends in an abortion. The pro-life lobby has labeled it "Partial-Birth" because it sounds like that. It is really (as I understand it) the drawing of the fetus into the birth canal in order to dismember it properly so that loose tissue does does not remain in the womb causing sepsis or some other form of infection, plus it is easier on a woman's uterus when that woman has certain forms of cancer. No doctor, or for that matter pro-choice advocate that I know of thinks we should begin to give birth to live, crying babies and then abort them.
