War With Iran Could Force the ‘Silent To Act'

Submitted by Joseph Hannon, Apr 24, 2007 14:33

Israel couldn't possibly attack Iran by itself : there is no way a repeat of the Osirak reactor could be achieved. Israel can only act in conjunction with Washington. As for the Iranian people rising up: it is a possibility but only if the Iranian regime is militarily defeated and is , more importantly , undeniably seen to have been defeated: If Iran puts up a good fight expect the opposite: a nationalist backlash against the US and Israel. Iran is still months from even being able to enrich uranium on a pilot industrial production scale: But each day that passes, yes, the Iranians do edge closer. There is still time but not with the current diplomatic approach.
