Witching Hour In America

Submitted by trinitymoonchild, Apr 25, 2007 22:41

i think my biggest frustration with the va taking so long in recognizing this symbol in it's cache of "accepted"symbols is that it appears on military and government artifacts everywhere. isn't there a star inside a circle on airforce one, the plane which carries the president? there is a reversed one on a flag on the front of this months american legion (maybe last months, i will have to check the date and i think it is recognizing fallen soldiers). somehow, this symbol being associated with wicca or paganism seems to be the only reason for reluctance to observe it on a gravestone. i find it rather hypocritical. the sheriff in my town wears one on the left breast of his uniform. yet, when i wear one around my neck it garners way more attention than necessary.

blessed be to wpal for helping change the misconceptions and down right delusionments about wiccans and pagans.
