I saw you on the News Hour tonight. My husband was impressed, doubly so when I told him I had written to you a few years ago asking for suggestions on raising money for Agua Para La Vida, a ngo that has 20 years of experience bringing water to very poor Nicaraguan villages. At that time you were attending a summit in Johannesburg where more money was spent on fare and living expenses than it took to bring water to 15,000 people. We have had financial support or we could not have accomplished this. But it gets tougher and tougher to interest philanthropists in that which is not only "doable, but is being done." (Those were the words of Bjorn Lomborg and that's why I wrote to him.) $200,000 a year is too miniscule to get the attention of all the big thinkers. We are the tortoises in a world where hares are jumping all over the place and winning very few races. Deborah
