Romney says President Carter thinks that Israel's security fence is the thing that keeps peace from coming to the Holy Land. Of course, Carter has said no such thing. In his book, Carter criticizes Israel for building the fence on Palestinian land. Quite a difference. It is obviously easier for Mr. Romney to misrepresent Carter and attack the misrepresentation than to deal with the truth of what Carter actually said.
