Who's the Better Feminist?

Submitted by Joe Rosenberg, Apr 28, 2007 17:26

Over 50 years ago, I lived in a kibbutz where every effort was made to engender(pun intended) equality among the sexes. Everyone received the same economic rewards. Here is what we discovered. Women wanted women to take care of the communal childrens houses. Men were better at heavy lifting. Some people had more pleasant jobs than others. I don't need footnotes from absurd sources to make my point. As for pay in the U.S.A. , I defy anyone to take me to a place where a man and a woman are doing exactly the same job and the woman is being discriminated against . Case closed
