What the problem is here is not so much that the trip occured, however, the disregard for the law. Just because you do not believe or agree with the law does not give you the right to violate it. There is no Constitutional Right to travel. Read page four of your passport. It says that the passport belongs to the US Governement and can be revoked at any time. The law is not to oppress the Cuban people, but to address the problems that Fidel Castro has created and continues to manifest for his people. While he gains large profits from everything entering Cuba, he gives little to his own people to allow for them to have a better life. What has Castro done to make his country a better place. Has he given up any of his luxuries so his own people can live better lives? No he has not, and he will not until such time as he is required to face the consequences for what he has done to his own people over the years.
