Barnard Alumnae Opposing Tenure for Anthropologist

Submitted by Maxine E. Schwartz, Nov 20, 2006 11:03

I graduated from Barnard in 1960 and have, up until now, been very proud of my alma mater. The hiring of Ms. Abu El-Haj has turned my pride into shame. Her claim to legitimate scholarship is specious indeed. Barnard should move swiftly to complete her contract and allow her to take her fourth rate opinions elsewhere.
