A Madrassa Grows In Brooklyn

Submitted by Omar Sawaf, Apr 29, 2007 20:59

Rev Deeter is right. I think Mr. Pipes should have done a little more research. Actually the title of his article "Madrassah" is misleading as it is the arabic word for 'school' but recently after 9/11 Madrassah became associated with the teaching of fundamental Islam. Furthermore as Rev Deeter, teaching the Arabic language is not just for moslems. He might be pleased to learn that Khalil Gibran was an Arab Christian. Bottom line, "Let's not jump to conclusions and be tolerant".
