Iraq Threatens GOP Future ...

I agree with Mr. Buckley, which is something I rarely do. The Republican Party is all set to go over the cliff with Bush and the future be damned. Surely they realize that the numbers don't lie and with over 60% of Americans totally sick of this 'long war' someone is going to pay the price of extending it indefinately. I blame the Generals and the hawks and the neocons for their obvious lies and misreading of the results of their knee jerk 'plans' that, after five long years, have resulted in NOTHING. They MUST realize that Bush is totally incompetent as Commander In Chief simply because he does'nt level with the American people. We are fed up with lies and distortions and the cost of this useless snd misnamed 'War On Terror'. Blair doesn't use the word anymore as it too has become meaningless. It saddens me to hear of the deaths of our young troops and now with the heat of Summer just starting in Iraq the task will even become more intorerable and dangerous. I would suggest that our greatest enemy is NOT the insurgents. It is the mindless plans of Bush and his Generals who are so incompetent that they believed walls built around neighborhoods was the ultimate answer. We have a war run by a bunch of FOOLS that is bleeding this country dry and Bush and the Republican Party appear to be too stupid to realize that this war is unwinnable.
