You are incorrect that the murders have been widely condemned by Turkish politicians. In fact, some of those politicans have actually gone on record as saying gleefully, "Now Christians will HAVE to leave Turkey".
Members of my family are close to the Christian community involved in this tragedy. I have seen the e-mails sent out from the pastor. There is far more to the story than the sanitized version you presented.
Those three men were not simply bound and then had their throats cut. If only it had been that merciful. They were systematically tortured. They were disemboweled and emasculated, and that still does not describe some of the other things that were done to them. These murders by members of a fanatical Muslim group are heinous in the fullest sense of that word.
Perhaps the most frightening thing about this incident is that the young men who slit the throats of the 3 murdered men as the Turkish police were breaking down the door had posed as converts to the Christian faith and even helped the murdered men pass out New Testaments to members of the community.
You are correct in saying that there is no appeasement of this enemy, and no non-Muslim is safe.
