Saudi Arabia's Domestic Crackdown

Submitted by Hussein Najee, Apr 30, 2007 17:31

Lived 30 years in Saudi Arabia; and this is a painful fact. What worries me most is that Wahabi extremism continues to be exported to poor Arab and Islamic countries through Saudi funding. It is now self sufficient in Pakistan. Afraid mankind will have to live with terrorism for decades to come.

A religion that has no regard to life and thinks the second life is the one that counts (72 virgins!!!) is a danger when most Arab and Islamic countries are failed states with high unemployment. This religion appleals to the frustrated unemployed youth; hence, we see them travelling thousand of miles to be suicide bombers in Iraq killing innocent civilians in market places. 72 virgins in heaven is very appealing to the unemployed. Many countries suffered this religion.

It will definitely come home to roost. Despite the billions in reserve, there is unemployment and major cities not only have shortage of water but also lack piped water (25% of Jeddah still get its water by trucks) Believe it or not!!! Their youth will eventually ask for jobs and water ignoring the promise of 72 virgins.
