‘Affordable Housing' Law Struck Down

This is ridiculous, when you see Section 8, Mitchell-Lama buildings being taken out of the programs under the guise of property value, it's inexcusable.

The writing is on the wall, this is a new day and we the people have lived and worked in these neighborhoods for generations and to now be thrown out because of property value is a disgrace to man kind.

It is obvious what should be done, since affordable housing is being used like a dirty word why not keep the existing tenants who have lived in these affordable houses for more than 20 years, give them the opportunity to buy, maintain there quality of life oppose too displacing people or selling to the highest bidder.

We have seen state and federal changes for the rich/powerful, why can't we see these same changes for the poor.

Families are beings destroyed under the guise of regentrification, elderly are being placed in neighborhoods that hold no history for them only shows them what little time they have left or what life use to be before they were pushed out.

My head is held high because of where I live, history, family, community and a will to live, now its all being threatened by the Real Estate Boards, Developers and others who have deep pockets under the guise of State and Federal Laws.
