How can you teach so-called professional teachers to teach literacy, when those same public school teachers are illiterate themselves?

The public school system better off hiring prison guards to supervise the classrooms instead of teachers. At least with prison guards, the student population would be better prepared for when they graduate from the NYC public school system and enter the criminal justice system.

As an employer, I view any diploma issued by the New York City public schools with skepticism and suspicion in that the holder has some semblance of minimum skills which would be of value to an employer.
