Might I suggest that you, sir, are the one caught in the time warp. It is not the 50's, McCarthy is dead, and, guess what? It's not illegal in the US to be a communist! Why not mention to your readers that we are the only country Americas that cannot visit Cuba. -- and we in the US are supposed to have a constitutional right to travel. Not very long ago, segregation was legal. White and Black teaches who sat at lunch counters together were breaking the law. By the sound of it, I would not be surprised to learn that probably RED-BAITING the Freedom Riders along side Governor Wallace. Who is more imprisoned, the Cubans, or those who must harvest the garbage dumps for a living in the rest of Latin America? Ya' know, if they wanted to make socialists of the children, a trip to a few Favelas in Brazil the slums of Haiti, or even the Free Trade Zones of Pakistan might have been a better choice. LDA
