I agree with you that the onside kick did not lose the game, but two points:
1) Even when you are pulling out all the stops, you still don't intentionally do dumb things and this was a dumb thing--the possible gain was in no way worth the downside;
2) The biggest factor in the loss was Pennington. Even though he has come back better than I ever thought he would, he just has too many limitations. We need to go in another direction if we are going to be a solid playoff contender.
