Of course we're a nation of immigrants. In fact, a nation of motivated immigrants. Immigrants, like my father, were adventurous, daring, and looking for a better life. We know that. But we are also a nation that truly values the rule of law.
Those of us who uphold the rule of law are not therefore to be automatically pigeon-holed as being anti-immigration. The question is not pro-immigration versus anti-immigration but rather pro-legal immigration versus anti-illegal immigration.
Let's be fair.
