If you did your homework, you would know that "school choice" by way of NCLB, is a device being used by those who, behind the scenes, wrote the policy to fail so they could get rid of public education through the back door.

Groups like Heritage Foundation, American Enterprise, to name a couple, have been pushing for the end of Head Start and for the end of public education. Why? There's a lot of money to be made in this area, just like there is a lot of money to be made in privitization of prisons and the military. It would also put more distance between those who believe, like in times past, that only the "privileged " should be going to school.

These groups have unlimited resources and access to media personalities. They have become the "experts" on talk shows and panels and have a direct line to the White House. You can proclaim the normal and usual "conspiracy theory" talking points, often used when people want to change the direction of scrutiny, or you can do some research and come back with the facts. Not being a media pesonality or reporter, I have a hard time answering how I can find out information, when people who are paid to do so don't bother to do their research or can't do it.
