Dangerous Prime Minister

The United States Sec. of State and Speaker of the House, both recently spoke to either Assad or an official of Syria. Tom Lantos, a Holocaust surviver, went along with Nancy Pelosi. (He should have known better).

Pelosi went to beg for Syria's non-involvement in Iraq.

Condi went to a summit in Egypt purportedly to discuss Iraq, only.

Neither have spoken to Iranian officials (Iran thumbed it's nose again at any suggestion it will comply with the UN resolution regarding enriching uranium (It's obviious they fully intend to test an atomic device soon).

Syria has massed troops and missiles along the border with Israel.,, the most extensive military preparedness for war since 1973, when it attacked Israel, in violation of the 67 cease fire, and on Israel's most holy of holidays.

The US, after these two negotiations, offered a way of getting on with the Road Map (a two -state solution after the violence stops). In essence, Hamas would stop the rockets fired into Israel, and Israel would allow for more Palestinian traffic, w/o going through check points.

Hamas turned it down immediately. They say that the rockets will continue, due to Israel's occupation of Arab land.

Yet, under UN 242, there is a way of resolving this entire conflict. The Arabs haven't yet accepted this thoughtful way of ending it, just as they have never accepted any Israeli solution.

Pelosi and Condi, by talking with Syria, have only embolden that country's dictatorship.

We bombed the Taliban for much less than what Syria has done over the years. Syria knows that without Egypt, it alone cannot attack Israel and survive. But it can use it's proxies to create a lot of havoc.
