Residential Parking Permits May Accompany Congestion Tax

Submitted by El Jefe, May 7, 2007 10:21

One statistic ignored by everyone in the studies being used to justify the $8 entry tax is that 10-15% of the cars on the street at any one time are looking for parking. All new building, commercial or residential, should be required to have a certain ratio of parking space in their basements, to accommodate all the people their building will contain, a percentage of whom will being using cars. And tell traffic and police car drivers, when they stop for coffee, don't double park!!
