As a donor and supporter of Lt. Gov. Steele, he precisely what the Republicans don't need right now for the following reasons:
Lt. Gov. Steele believes in affirmative action not as originally intended but as bastardized by the left.
His stands on the major issues aren't in-line with the base (donors) of the party.
He doesn't believe in partisan politics as a strategy, you can't win without a message.
He doesn't have a deep root of support in PG County where he grew up and spent his entire life, which in translation means he will have no affect on blacks and other minorities anywhere else in the country.
Finally, at the core of it all he lacks the inspiration to motivate because he believes in saying the PC thing vice doing what's right.
I supported Lt. Gov. Steele in his campaign and believe he's a behind the scenes administrator but seriously lacks the initiative to lead. Don't get me wrong, I disagree whole heartedly with Sen. Martinez as RNC Chairman because he is in the same mold as Lt. Gov. Steele, they both lack vision, passion, connectivity and the ability to inspire.
I will save immigration for another day, let it stand that I believe that mass deportations are in order. The first act as a citizen should not be violating the law or bringing the poverty and despair to a new address. Let Mexico, Latin America and other two bit countries clean their corrupt houses and provide for their people, the US is not the nanny of the world.
