Parents Lose in Court Case on Cell Phones

Submitted by Donna H., May 8, 2007 19:17

I really hesitate to say yes or no as I don't believe there is a good case on either side from what I have read on this website. If the student(s) checked their cell phone in a central location within the school, then picked it up when they were through for the day, that would be good , I say. Cheating goes on with cell phones and other distractions with it when they should be concentrating on learning. But I don't think that they should have special lockers erected especially for them, then charge them....that is totally unfair. If the schools want to ban them, then let them figure a way to check them in within the school within theri budget. Otherwise, it is not cut & dried right now in my view.
