Ripped From the Airwaves

Is it me or are other people sick of freaking reality shows? Please someone beat the NBC people with wet noodles or something that will give them some sense! Not EVERYONE wants to see game/reality shows. People can't handle the reality of everyday life! It's too boring!

I came upon L&O:CI middle of something like the 4th season basically because I'd seen Vincet D'Onofrio in the Salton Sea...heard he was the lead in CI & pretty much wanted to see him w/o his "Pooh Bear" make up. To quote Will Smith from Men in Black "DAMN!!"

The man can actually act!! I've been watching CI every since. I've managed to almost see every episode thanks to USA Network!!! I think the one thing "Missing" from Vince D'Onofrio's "part" of CI is the quirkiness that Detective Goren displayed during the early years. Watching some of the episodes the Goren character is so off the chain that I love watching him. I know that actors get tired of roles & doing the same so I can understand the growth, but I also feel that IF the writer's of CI went back observed the character & perhaps get their stories straight. (The episode Slither has a detail the contradicts at least 2 episodes involving a reoccuring character.)

Dick Wolf needs to get his act together.

It ticks me off that SVU (which I doesn't interest me a whole lot) is now the "hottest" L&O. Jealous? No. It gets a heavier push in ads where as CI & L&O regular seem to get the ads only so often. Even USA is going for the SVU overkill. That is starting to annoy me.

As for storylines someone else said it best...QUIT with the ripped from the "headlines" cases!!!! It's annoying!! A blogger I recently read suggested that the writers look over cold cases & use them for their crimes. No, not make CI a cold case rip-off but find a cold case & write it up with "their" twist.

Okay I think I'll take my soapbox & go home now.
