How long will it take the world and the USA in particular to accept the well known fact that appeasing a blackmailer only leads to further blackmail. The Syrians and Iranians and the terrorist groups have an agenda which is NOT EVEN HIDDEN. Hitler told the world in Mein Kampf and Iran has expressed exactly the same agenda openly. Does anyone really think that they are bluffing. They feel very confident and are playing for time to get into an even better position than they are now. Giving in to them in little bits will only eventually make the problem much more difficult not only for the world in general but for the USA in particular. When will enough be enough and the USA stop appeasement regardless of world opinion. Israel has survived without world opinion because they used to do what they had to do to survive. One can only hope that they will continue to do that and Olmert will not submit to a further policy of appeasement dictated by the world in general at the United Nations or by the USA. If he had not fought the war in Lebanon with one arm behind his back the Israeli situation would have been a little different. If this did not teach him a lesson I don't know what will. I hope the USA learned the same lesson and if they didn't I have great concern for their future.
