As far as you go with the Final Judgement of Mr. Tenet, we need to realize that America doesn't want to hear about it. They are accustomed (programmed?) by television in their living rooms to subscribe to any conspiracy offered because that's how the TV shows end.
As one who point and laughs at neo-con conspiracy TV shows, while pointing out glaring errors and impossibilities in execution, I think it is plausible that Mickey and Goofey just screwed this fairy tail up and are singing "Mistakes Were Made and Lessons Learned" to the tune of "When You Wish Upon A Star." They just couldn't hit the basket from the extra point line. Perhaps the moon is made of Yellow Cake, but -as you so painfully know - this war wasn't.
As a good ole American white male with a degree or two, I kind of wish there was a plausible conspiracy, because there are so few good books out there. I want to see this in the TV documentary and on the Silver Screen as a mega movie. Can you leak a conspiracy theory to create a conspiracy theory? How's that for a double twist?
But before any of that happens, I can assure you that they would not cast Skippy, W or Slam Dunk (maybe Rummy and Sneery as dwarfs) for any movie or docudrama that was expected to make money. Hell they can't even deliver their lines now!
So, Slam Dunk is not a conspirator, indicted or unindicted, a tragic character for sure, but he's already given himself enough sympath. W is just dumb enough to have been sold a dead horse, but he's not smart enough to get phony intel into the U.N. That took the Wall street cred of Colin Powell.
While no major Holly or Bollywood director will touch this, I can certainly see the National Lampoon Goes to Washington or possibly Monty Python Goes to War, coming out after the Dems win the White House in 2008. Will Streisand have a role? (read the Tabs).
Or maybe it's just my desire to relive a simpler time in history and watch Chevy Chase as POTUS again.
See you in spookland,
JMG
