I have been following Romney's calculated candidacy and watched trhe Republican debate. My over-riding impression is that this is a man who will make statements at any given time to achieve an outcome advantageous for himself, leaving a trail of substance-free comments that over time end up on all sides of a subject. We have been so disappointed with Bush that we are in danger of grapsing at someone who gives the ringing or soothing words we long to hear.
