Thank you for well thought out article. Hitchens strikes me as some one with his own ideology (religion?) which he would like to impose on others. He is almost as irrational as the fundamentalists he decries. If we ever expect to have peace int the world, we have to understand the other.
I guess I would put myself in the questioning tradition of the philosophers mentioned in the article: Spinoza, Montaigne, and Kierkegaard, as well as the Buddha who said no one has to accept what he offers.
