I voted for Clinton twice and staunchly defended him through the various investigations and impeachment hearings. I also read The American spectator for the the vigorous presentation of an alternative point of view. Eventually the chronicles provided by former close associates ( for example see L.D. Brown's excellent book Crossfire and Dereliction of Duty by Robert Patterson) finally dampened even my stubborn enthusism. They failed to intimidate or charm Tyrell which is amazing given their success with sooooo many others. I agree with Lipsky. It's not so much the amount of new information as it is the ability to sharpen the focus that makes this book very much worth the read.
