That's one reason why I plan to vote for McCain...or Giuliani.

This proposal by Hillary is safe, but only a bandage. It isnt' really noteworthy. Now, had she said what we all have been thinking for years, that the UN is mostly comprised of the I hate Israel crowd, that is more biased than ever against Israel, that Israel should be allowed membership in the UNSC, that the so-called Palestinian organizations are illegal and criminal...then, Hillary might be accomplishing something really significant.

Oh, I forget, she should also say that if President, she will hold back funding for that organization, until it begins to act for the reason it was created.

According to Kissinger, and history, the UN has not really done anything to mitigate the worlds conflicts, which have been resolved by a group of powers (Korea).

Thus, having the democracies act on their behalf, rather than going to the UN seems legitimate.

Look at Iraq. When things got hot, the UN left (so much for those pundits who say the UN should have gone in right away to bring peace). What a joke.
