Well Mr Gershman after your little tirade about the "mostly uninhabited tundra that, when it's not frozen, is swarming with mosquitoes" I have to say nothing ever changes. "Upstaters" blame "Downstaters" for the rising taxes, "Downstaters" hold their nose up at the "Upstaters" thinking they are far more civilized and cultured and as usual the state government takes full advantage of that distain and continues to produce pork. When will both sides learn that this is a symbiotic relationship? Where does all that nice clean water come from that you drink from a public fountain in NYC? Not the Hudson! It is from "The mostly uninhabited tundra"! Just as NYC helps to support what little economy that happens in Upstate NY. If the state of NY ever hopes to have a state government that actually does something then we need to put aside these petty differences and make an effort to understand each other.
