You say that the big error was disbanding the Iraqi army. Maybe, you are right but there may have been a worse consequence that what we have. Point is, we will never know. You may be sincere in your belief but that does not make it so.

To accept defeat at this point and fight this battle in the homeland is premature. Yes, we are losing many fine young men and it is tragic. That happens when you go to war. Perhaps we just need to disband the Armed Forces as we cannot stand the loss of fighting a war. Like it or not, we are in a war - everybody's solution is that since it did not go as expected, we are disappointed and we just need to leave it to the Iraqis and the rest of the Middle East as they "deserve" whatever disaster befalls them. We fall back to a defensive position and fight them here at home? Do you think no one will die in that scenerio? We may loose less soldiers but they could be replaced by children or old ladies.

I agree that the other countries should get involved but they have demonstrated that they will not over and over. Unfortunately, President Bush is right, we have to stay ,not for them ,as most of us have ceased caring about any of them but for us. I heard a saying about Americans - they look for someone to blame when a problem presents instead of looking for a solution to the problem. The Democrats blame Bush and the Republicans now the Republicans can blame the Democrats - how many Americans, soldiers and civilians will need to die before we can blame the enemy? When a Metro in DC blows, how many will take solice that it is the Democrats fault when a loved one dies? Americans need to get some focus.
