It is not suprising to see Perle blame the failed Iraq policy on the military, State Department, the administration and even the President. What he cannot comprehend is that the neocon strategic vision of democratizing the Middle East and establishing a military and oil foothold, while at the same time protecting Israel, was misguided and wrong in its conception.
Perle and his cronies cannot admit their policies were wrong and the blood that is being spilled in the Iraq debacle is on their hands. He would do well to turn his formidable mental powers to finding a way out of the quagmire he created rather than blaming others for its failure.
