China vs. The WTO

Submitted by Tongluren, May 17, 2007 01:03

Everything is relative. Let those who has not sinned cast the first stone. China has NEVER been found by the WTO to be in violation of its rules. There were allegations, but never a finding by the WTO that China was at fault.

Au contraire, same could not be said about America, or the EU. The whole system is rigged anyway. There is clearly no justification for the rich countries like the U.S. to insist on exemption for their agricultural subsidies, even at the cost of debilitating oppression of those in the developing world. The WTO found that America's foreign trade corporations are illegal. Go back and look at how many years America fought that - almost 10 years.

The WTO is a process. China is still learning the ropes. As she gets more familiar with the process and watches how the supposed best of the best does it, I'm sure all disputes would be resolved in due course. Just like America does it.
