Why should anyone coming to this country voluntarily receive extra 'points' from merely checking off a box on any application. it is a travesty of justice that has to be done away with. Affirmative action was a means to assist blacks who bore the brunt of discrimination in this country.

The net has been cast far and wide to include anyone who is not WHITE. if you do not have a child applying to college then you are truly unaware of the check off boxes found on these applications. Ethnic background checkoff boxes are routinely found on these applications. Why they are there is beyond me, I thought affirmative action was iilegal. Try and have someone from the institutions of higher learning explain to you why these checkoff boxes are on the apllications. You want to talk about double talk and run arounds.

If you have found your way to this country by any means other than ancestral slavery, you have no right to claim any discrimination. But then again our so called Congress thinks that they once again has the say in what they think is the way things should be in this country, contrary to what the vast population believes.
