Of course it is. One would have to be blind not to see it. Exactly alike all the old empires? Of course not. Cultures and technology change, adapts, whatever. But Lincoln didn't kill 600,000 young mostly white men to 'free the slaves.' Stop upholding that lie. Like Hamilton he wanted centralized govt. and did what he wanted to kill the republic and enlarge the empire. He killed the states' ability to say "we've had enough." What would it take today to find out what that would take? What will happen when the immigrant populations of Southern Commiefornia decide they want out? If they do. The empire may just continue to pay them off as long as its printing presses continue to run at the Treasury.
