huge piles of money earned by hedge fund managers, to spend on condos and Warhols does NOT benefit all New Yorkers. All it does is to drive more and more New Yorkers out of Manhattan, in favor of people who live there three days a week, or in the monstrous house across from my studio, two weeks a year. The Bush tax cuts and the monstrous rental and condo prices, followed by dozens of buildings being razed, bought and cleared out, and built to accomodate the rich, do nothing for the "vibrancy and dynamism" you claim, except to give working people longer commutes. The article is shameful
