How Peace Came to Baghdad's Haifa Street

Submitted by Mike, May 22, 2007 11:42

This story shows the real American military that has liberated most of the free world over the last six decades. When American soldiers are allowed to fight, they win the most lopsided battles. The harder they fight the more it seems the locals love our soldiers. It's only when we talk about withdrawal, when we under-supply them and when we limit the rules of engagement that the local populations (not to mention our own public) say they want us to leave.

Sure, Haifa Street in Baghdad is still probably about as safe as Linden Blvd in East New York was in the early 90's. But it sounds like a major improvement.

Nobody respects a loser. History will never be unfair or unkind to America where it has fought "too hard."
