In this city there is a huge gap in the have and have nots. i find it sicking that because the land scape of the city is changing, now it,s time to throw the working poor to the wolfs. it's wrong to use the housing projects as scapgoats to fit in to your vision of what the city should belike.
my mother lives in public housing and still barely is able to make the rent which is very high for a person on a fixed income.
it seems that the writer of this article never lived in poverty,or know what hard times is.
with the city's housing shortage the mayor needs to build more sutable housing to the people of new york. Not every person in this city can afford $2500.00 per month for rent.
If the housing projects is such a blight to you, and the upper crusty's in the city ,well then don't look at it. we all have the right to live.
the last think i have to say about this matter is that i bet that the person who wrote this is not even from new york.
