GOP Presidential Hopefuls Square Off Over Immigration

Submitted by Mrs. Barbara Pierce, May 24, 2007 13:09

I will vote in the next presidential election for the strongest candidate against this immigration bill. I cannot support a candidate who will reward lawbreakers and those who do not want to assimilate into the American way of life.

I have friends of different ethnic backgrounds ie Kosov, Mexico, Africa. The difference is that these people came here legally and were learning English because they wanted to.

People of all nations who immigrate to the USA the legal way are welcome. Those who break our laws should be sent back to their country. If we can't deport all of them, then we should deport as many as we can.

What is being proposed is a giveaway that we cannot financially afford for people who have shown us absolutely no respect. Many are criminals.

The Mexican people who have entered our country illegally should be changing their country and quit trying to change ours. I deeply resent their demands and resent the politicians who want to give them more and more and more.
