I thought your article was "right on". Art does last, can be seen and enjoyed by many for years. Wine is very personal to the owner.Once the wine is consumed......or the $$$ are consumed.....it's gone forever. Unless the auction for wine is bought to enable others a better life......charity auctions....often it's not the $$$$ amount that makes the wine taste better; it's the lasting memories of the moment, as you stated.
