Just today, Hamas has warned that the captured Israeli soldier will not be freed or heard from again, if Israel targets their leaders. The same spokesperson said that Hamas has long range rockets capable of hitting cities further north than Sderot, like Ashkelon..and still further north. Suicide bombers will again rain terror in Israel itself, as conditions permit.
So, Sderot is just the beginning of a barrage of rockets, whether Kassams, or GRADs or Katyushas or G-d knows what, that will terrorize all of Israel.
Hillel is being too soft on Hamas and the Palestinian Authority in general.
We learn that Ehud Olmert is now considering talking to Syria, which, we know will demand the entire Golan Heights back, and no Israeli presence anywhere near the water. Also, there are indications that he may talk to Jordanian officials about allowing a federation between Jordan and the West Bank, with the proviso that Israel retain control of parts of the West Bank (Jordan Valley).
So, the encirclement of Israel is now closer at hand, with Jordan in the West Bank alongside Islamic Jihad, Fatah and Hamas; Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip with Egyptian forces to their West; Syria controlling both sides of the Golan Heights; Hezbollah with 20,000 rockets poised in southern Lebanon, Al Qaeda Iraq seeing our (US) withdrawal coming to fruition, and Iranian using 1,500 centrifuges spinning uranium gas into fissionable material with 800 more being built.
And what does Israel do about all the above, it hits empty fields, gives warnings of pending artillery strikes and tries to hit moving vehicles in the northern Gaza Strip.
