A Good Drug

Regarding Jeff Stier's article:

Oxycontin is not a "timed released" drug or a unique formulation. It is a "controlled released" product that releases half of its ingredients immediately and the other half about 4-6 hours later. In other words, a person could take one-half of the dosage now and the other half six hours later. I suggest Mr. Stier look up the "biphasic" release the manufacturer Purdue admits to in their manufacturer insert. Does Mr. Stier suggest that the thousands of deaths were "beneficial" for the mere convenience of not having to take two pills instead of one.

The facts: Oxycontin contains a similar molecular entity as heroin and has almost the identical effects. Any conversation that takes place concerning Oxycontin must take place in the same context as heroin, a drug our forefathers banned almost 100 years ago.

When making decisions concerning Oxycontin, I only ask that discussions take place with all the truth included. The thousands of families affected by the lies would also be appreciative.
